Anyone working in construction knows that delivery times can make or break a job.
It’s very common for contractors to call needing equipment within 24 hours, especially when a machine is already on site waiting for the correct attachment. When an excavator is sitting idle, it’s not just inconvenient, it’s costing money every hour it isn’t working.
Because of this, delivery speed has become one of the most important parts of the excavator attachment supply industry.
At ECFS, a large percentage of customers require next day delivery or delivery within two to three days, and in around 99% of cases we’re able to provide exactly that. Over the years we’ve developed a logistics network that allows equipment to be dispatched quickly and delivered reliably across the UK.
A common request we receive from contractors is “first thing delivery.”
This usually happens when work is scheduled to start early on site and the excavator operator needs the attachment fitted before the day’s work begins. For example, if a contractor is starting a drainage trench first thing in the morning, having the correct trenching bucket arrive early can mean the difference between starting on time or losing half a day.
We understand how important these timings are, which is why we always try to prioritise urgent deliveries wherever possible.
There’s also another reason why delivery speed matters in this industry, construction projects often evolve quickly. A site might initially require a standard bucket, but once the work progresses the operator may realise, they need a different bucket width, grading bucket or specialist attachment to complete the next stage of the job.
When that happens, being able to source and deliver equipment quickly keeps the project moving forward without unnecessary downtime.
Reliable delivery also builds trust. Contractors want to know that when they place an order, the equipment will arrive when promised so they can plan their work accordingly.
